What Data We Collect

None. Context Cliff does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. All data remains entirely on your device.

How It Works

Context Cliff monitors the text content on supported AI chat interfaces (Claude.ai, ChatGPT) to estimate token usage. This analysis happens entirely in your browser. No data is ever sent to our servers or any third party.

Data Storage

Settings and pinned context are stored locally using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API. This data never leaves your device.

Permissions

• Host permissions (claude.ai, chatgpt.com): Required to inject the context meter on AI chat pages.
• Storage: To save your settings and pinned items locally.
• Notifications: To alert you when approaching context limits.
• Context Menus: To enable the "Pin to Context Cliff" right-click option.

Third-Party Services

Context Cliff uses no third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services.
